Wedding Photographer Sued By Couple Because Of Their First Wedding Kiss Photo

In Australia, a not so usual kind of story for them was shown and delivered via a certain TV show. You can read the tidbits of that story below.

Jarrad and Sheree Mitchell who got married a year ago, hired the professional services of George Ferris of Studio Edge & Multimedia to capture the important moments of their wedding day. When the office of George Ferris presented the results or photos of Jarrad and Sheree Mitchell wedding, they got shocked and really disappointed.

According to the couple, the wedding photographer had missed all important and must capture and remember moments of their wedding, most importantly, their very first kiss as a couple.

Zoren Legaspi And Carmina Villaroel Wedding [Photos And Videos]

The whole showbizness is at the state of shock but at the same, got inspired and heart-warmed by this surprise wedding of long time couple ( 12 years couple) and partner in life - Zoren Legaspi And Carmina Villaroel.

Zoren Legaspi asked for the help of their (Carmina Villaroel) children, Cassie and Maverick, along with their friends from the showbizness to make this surprise wedding proposal straight to the wedding rites or ceremony a successful and memorable event of their lives. That surprise wedding event all happened Thursday evening, November 15, 2012, at the enchanting place of Fernbrook Garden in Alabang, Muntinlupa City.

Because of its secrecy, only few of their showbiz friends, non showbiz friends and family had witnessed and attended such romantic wedding event. But I am quite sure that another big celebration, this time with lots of their friends and family members in attendance, will follow to celebrate this life changing event for MINA and ZOREN.

Kids Being Kids Wedding Photography Contest Winners (PHOTOS)

Here are some photos or images from the well respected website of Wedding Photojournalist Association (www.wpja.com). These images came from their wedding photography contest gallery titled Kids (being kids). I find them quite hilarious, funny, entertaining but full of photography artistry.

Check them out and leave your thoughts about the photos via the comment section.

1st Place: Carl Bower from Colorado, United States
The contrasting expressions and body language are wonderful. The black and white allows us to focus on the dueling moments. And it's always great to see a vertical in the mix.

2nd Place: Dominique Cabrelli from Paris, France
Spontaneity and humor work to make this image a strong one.

3rd Place: David Hartlage from Indiana, United States
A pensive child dressed like an adult among adults; the hands telling different stories about the subjects whose heads were interestingly cropped by the photographer. A great and enigmatic image prompting questions and interest.

4th Place: David Murray from Georgia, United States
Like a great European movie, you know something dramatic may soon happen but you don’t know how it will end.

5th Place: Tina Wright from Arizona, United States
Boredom at its best.

6th Place: Gene Kosoy from Northern California, United States
What grace and harmony. A great look. The photographer captured the children in a really sophisticated way.

7th Place: Tom Paice from Bristol, England
Solid moment. Technically this was not an easy photograph to make, but the photographer handled it well.

8th Place: Ian Bursill from Leicestershire, England
Terrific storytelling image. I can tell the photographer was prepared for anything. They responded quickly and executed it beautifully.

9th Place: Clark Reid from North Holland, Netherlands
A style shot with staying power.

10th Place: Stephanie Secrest from Northern California, United States
A very pretty photo of the young girl dancing. Nice play with the lights.

Wedding Photojournalism

Wedding Photojournalism Information And History

What Is Photojournalism?

Photojournalism is the process of documenting events with a camera without controlling or affecting the situation. Henri Cartier Bresson, considered as the father of photojournalism coined the phrase "the decisive moment" and this essentially means capturing the peak moment within a situation. Thus, giving way to wedding photojournalism, or generally, photojournalism.

Wedding Photojournalism

History of Photojournalism

Henri Cartier Bresson in the 1930's began documenting European society with a Leica camera. The cool thing about the Leica unlike many cameras at the time was its small size was and it's quietness.

Leica is world renowned and is used by many of the great photographers today. The results of this documentary photography; a beauty and integrity that is timeless and priceless to this day.

Wedding photojournalism takes the same skills and philosophy and applies it to today. This is in contrast to the traditional style of photography I was bought up on and trained under.

Rather than organizing people and fabricating situations the wedding photojournalist relies upon his skills to capture the moments that go unnoticed in an unobtrusive manner.

The ability to see events and stories unfolding and capture those events in a unobtrusive manner come together to form a series of images that reveal seemingly simple yet complex images.

Wedding Photojournalism Basic Information

Wedding Photojournalism has become a very popular style of wedding photography and is essentially a series of candid photographs covering the events of the entire day. Wedding photojournalism is said to appeal to the bride and groom that require a series of unique photographs designed to "tell a story" or narrate the wedding day.

There are drawbacks of wedding photojournalism as there is usually no pre-planned "shot list," only the wedding photojournalist’s (photographer's) response to events as they unfold. The resulting images are can be unpredictable. As wedding photojournalism largely entails shooting under ambient light, the result in some pictures can suffer in the hands of an inexperienced wedding photojournalist.

It is a fact that some couples often later regret not opting for more traditional, posed portraits in their wedding album. The couple’s parents sometimes first to complain about the lack of traditional wedding photography in an album.

Top 10 Wedding Nightmares Of All Time

10 Worst Wedding Horrors of All Time

Who wants their wedding date to be ruined or goes like hell? No one right? Well, that is how major preparations, plannings and consultations are being made prior to this special event from the attire to wear up to the food to eat. But, sometimes, disaster and accidents do happen. Read below the top 10 wedding nightmares of all time.

1. Robbed Memories - No Photos Or Videos Of The Wedding Day.
Although most couples successfully preserve their bridal bliss in photos or on video, certain unforeseen events can leave newlyweds with no record of their special day. Recently, Celebration Studios, a regional photography service, left dozens of couples throughout New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania without photos, even though the couples had paid for the entire service up front. Apparently, the studio shut down shortly afterward and is currently in the process of filing for bankruptcy.

2. Runaway Brides or Grooms.
Although nervous jitters are perfectly normal, some brides and grooms develop such a serious case of cold feet they head for the hills. Perhaps the most famous runaway bride was Jennifer Wilbanks, who disappeared from Duluth, Georgia, in 2005 to avoid her wedding and later falsely claimed she had been kidnapped and sexually assaulted. Wilbanks was eventually sentenced to two years' probation and 120 hours of community service. In 2008, her former fiance, John Mason, married another woman.

Top 10 Wedding Nightmares Of All Time

3. Unpaid Wedding Rings .
Wedding crashers are never welcome, but when the uninvited guest is a repo man, it can quickly turn a fairy-tale event into a humiliating scene. At a 2006 wedding in South Africa, the groom was about to exchange vows with his betrothed when the unthinkable occurred: A private investigator stormed into the venue, interrupted the ceremony, and seized the wedding rings for non-payment. Apparently, the rings had been purchased with a check that had later bounced.

4. Food Poisoning.
When you're choosing a caterer for your big day, you never imagine they'll put salmonella, campylobacter, or E. coli on the menu. But according to experts, wedding-borne illnesses are more common than you might think. At a 2004 reception in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, dozens of guests became gravely ill after eating salmonella-tainted food. The bride, Marsha Cochenour, has since filed a lawsuit against the restaurant where the event was held; the restaurant's attorneys, however, claim the salmonella stemmed from the wedding cake, which was provided by another vendor.

5. Stolen/Missing Gifts.
It's hard to believe that anyone would burglarize a bridal couple, but there have been numerous cases of staff, party crashers, and even guests doing just that. At Mary and Herb Wright's 2005 wedding in Jacksonville, Florida, reception staff told attendees to leave their presents with them, rather than directing them to the gift table. The result? Thousands of dollars in gift cards, cash, and checks were stolen. Fortunately, one of the thieves was promptly arrested, and the venue where the wedding was held offered to pay for the stolen goods, as well as the fees for canceled checks.

6. Stolen Gown/Dress.
When a couple is saying "I do," all eyes are on the bride-and, of course, her gown. While a minor mishap, like a broken button, is no big deal, what if the dress suddenly disappears? That's exactly what happened to Eula Strickland, a bad-luck Chicago bride whose dress was stolen from her car just hours before she was scheduled to fly to Jamaica for her wedding. Apparently, someone pried open the car's trunk and simply walked off with the dress.

7. Drunk Grooms/Best Man.
While most people view bachelor parties as harmless fun, too much drunken debauchery can lead to catastrophe. In some cases, grooms have gotten so inebriated that they've missed the rehearsal dinner or even the wedding (which is why experts recommend throwing the bachelor party at least two weeks beforehand). Other outcomes have been even more devastating: A Houston groom recently drowned in a friend's pool at his bachelor party just days before he was scheduled to say "I do."

8. Brides Gone Wild.
Most of us have known at least one bride who becomes so mired in wedding minutiae, she drives herself-and everyone around her-crazy. In 2003, a Connecticut bride went on a rampage after restaurant workers closed the bar at her wedding reception. She reportedly began throwing cake and gifts at the staff and even tried to bite a police officer while being taken into custody. Bridezilla later pled guilty to a reduced charge of creating a public disturbance.

9. Environment Disturbance.
A little smog is one thing, but what if the wedding venue suddenly fills with poisonous fumes? At George Quenneville and Sharon Strack's 2007 reception at Dante Caterers in Queens, New York, a malfunctioning boiler in the basement caused carbon monoxide fumes to spew into the dance hall-sending numerous guests, including the bride and the couple's 2-year-old daughter, to the hospital for oxygen treatments. The venue's owner later apologized and offered to refund the $15,000 cost of the event.

10. Honeymoons Goes Wrong.
Just because a couple has survived their wedding doesn't mean the honeymoon is smooth sailing. Travel delays, lost luggage, and stolen credit cards can put a damper on any dream vacation, but that's nothing compared to other, more sinister scenarios. In 2006, eight days into George and Jennifer Smith's honeymoon cruise, George mysteriously vanished.
